for our return, we're inviting two artists whose sound lives between categories. jay york (new york) joins us with his shape-shifting approach to techno, electro and everything that happens around them. whether at basement in new york, renate in berlin, movement festival in detroit, or through releases on his label toca, his sound continues to resist easy definitions. we're also welcoming wasie back for a special montreal appearance — a friend of the series whose hypnotic and melancholic selections have soundtracked some of our favourite moments on the dancefloor.
opening the night is e+e, the shared alias of evening unlimited founders esme and esther côté. known for their strange closing sets where movement meets stillness and the room becomes something else entirely, they'll be opening this chapter together.
the evening ends at 4am. what happens before then is harder to explain. |
