Back to the Roots is a Montreal music gathering organized by Les Productions FoxHigh, a non-profit dedicated to celebrating living musical cultures. We celebrate sounds that have stood the test of time — reggae, dub, world music, sound system cultures — and bring them to life alongside today's artists.
No barriers, no pretension. Just music, good energy, and a moment of sharing rooted in the real.
Why this event
Because Montreal deserves spaces where different generations, cultures and communities can come together, dance, and share something authentic.
Back to the Roots is an open platform that celebrates musical diversity and cultural richness — carried by local artists and collectives who explore their roots while reinventing them.
A 100% free admission
The event is completely free so it stays accessible to everyone.
A Zeffy ticketing page is available to register and help us plan the day better. Registration is optional, but anyone who books a ticket in advance (with or without a donation) gets a small welcome gift from us.
A whole day to experience on site
Back To The Roots is more than just a concert. Our partners will be on site throughout the day: a bar with local drinks, Quebec products to discover, artisanal flavors served by our food partners — all part of supporting the ecosystem that brings this edition to life.
A dedicated children's area will also be set up so that families and music lovers of all ages can enjoy the day together. And because a festival is also about discovery, several activities and surprises await you on July 11. |
