| Description: | EAF brings live electronic music to the dance floor with former local resident turned New York underground electronic producer Swaya, joined by local acts known for their unique sounds, and for some hybrid sets: Amselysen b2b Racine and splitshift b2b badgalquirit.
This event will be a soft fundraiser to support the next big chapters of EAF
Brooklyn based artist, DJ and producer Swaya has spent a lifetime exploring the possibilities of storytelling and meaning making through sound. Her music & DJing conjures movement with sexy, full-bodied rhythms, weaving together Brazilian funk, dembow, batida, ambient music, rap and dubstep, all molded by her love of emotional melody and inventive sound design. She has released with labels like s.M.i.l.e, PTP, TT, Ultra Rare and Gravity Pleasure.
Beyond her personal artistic work Swaya is also an established producer and audio engineer, currently working with Brooklyn producer Tony Seltzer at his studio Seltzer Sounds. She has worked with the likes of Eartheater, MIKE, Sideshow , Surf Gang, Babyxsosa, Key!, Hawa, Zelooperz, Mercury, Bbyafricka, Joey Labeija, Gabe Nandez and more.
Amselysen & Racine’s modus operandi: building up a hair-raising tension to its limits before it snaps into an ambush of club-ready bangers, delivering a profound cathartic release.
With influences stemming from idm, techno, deconstructed club, french touch, and an occasional acid touch, the duo effortlessly blends genres to create new possibilities in the realm of club music.
With their breakout performance at MUTEK 2023, alongside Kyoka, Nadia Struiwigh, or through Humidex's 5 year anniversary, A&R have established themselves as strong challengers in the future sound of dancefloors.
Splitshift is a composer, producer, digital artist and DJ from Montreal. Shifting drastically from his electroacoustic background Splitshift music is characterized by an amalgam of fast techno drums and breaks mixed with trancy melancholic synths. Together with badgalquirit they will serves a blend of dubby chuggers and leftfield tech-house beats. |
