Based in Montreal, TEKE::TEKE crafts a singular universe by blending traditional Japanese instruments – such as the shinobue and taisho koto – with abrasive guitars, explosive rhythms, and electrifying psych-rock surges. Driven by the theatrical and magnetic voice of Maya Kuroki, the band evokes both the cult soundtracks of 1960s and 70s Japanese cinema and the contemporary urgency of experimental rock. Step into a hallucinatory journey that is as immersive as it is visceral.
