MESTIZX (la chanteuse bolivienne Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti et le batteur jazz
portoricain Frank Rosaly, maintenant basés à Amsterdam) déploient une tapisserie
sonore profondément personnelle et puissante. Leur premier album tisse
l'avant-jazz, les rythmes ancestraux vibrants d'Amérique latine (Bolivie,
Brésil, Porto Rico) et les textures de l'électronica. Cette exploration non
genrée plonge dans les thèmes de l'identité, de la décolonisation et de l'esprit
de résistance du rituel, nés de leurs expériences uniques d'« entre-deux ».
Également à l'affiche : les paysages sonores évolutifs et inventifs de l'artiste
nicaraguayen-canadien Mas Aya, présentant son plus récent voyage musical
captivant.
En ouverture de soirée, la collaboration inaugurale de Daniela Solís & Stefan
Christoff offre une expérience sonore profondément attentive et pleine d'espoir,
une connexion Montréal-Mexico forgée par leur temps et leur créativité partagée
à Mexico.

MESTIZX (singer Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti from Bolivia and jazz drummer Frank
Rosaly from Puerto Rico, now based in Amsterdam) unleashes a deeply personal and
potent sonic tapestry. Their debut album weaves together avant-jazz, the vibrant
ancestral rhythms of Latin America (Bolivia, Brazil, Puerto Rico), and the
textures of electronica. This non-gendered exploration delves into themes of
identity, decolonization, and the defiant spirit of ritual, born from their
unique "in-between" experiences.
Also featuring the evolving and inventive soundscapes of Nicaraguan-Canadian
artist Mas Aya, presenting his latest compelling musical journey.
Opening the evening, the debut collaboration of Daniela Solís & Stefan Christoff
offers a deeply attentive and hopeful sonic experience, a Montreal-Mexico
connection forged from their time and shared creativity in Mexico City.

ACCESSIBILITÉ // Sotterenea est situé au sous-sol de La Sala Rossa, avec deux
volées d'escaliers (34 marches au total) comme accès principal. Si vous avez
besoin d'aide pour accéder à notre espace, nous disposons d'un autre accès (11
marches au total). Il n'y a pas de toilettes neutres et elles ne sont pas
totalement accessibles aux fauteuils roulants. N'hésitez pas à nous contacter,

ACCESSIBILITY // Sotterrenea is located in the basement of La Sala Rossa, having
two flights of stairs (34 steps in total) as the main access. Anyone needing
assistance to our space, we have another access (11 steps in total). There are
no gender neutral washrooms which are not totally wheelchair accessible. Please
contact us as we are more than happy to try and accommodate people to the best
of our ability.
