Lavender Flu is a killer band from Portland OR, ex members of The Hunches and
Eat Skull. Psych/ heavy trip moves to lilting pop. Trance like approach to the
wide ass canon of left field pop musics.
Home Blitz is from NJ/NY and a master of powerpop specificity but married to the
uncanny, the glitchy. Evoking the Homosexuals, birtish folk and big modern pop
at different times or sometimes all at once.
Garden of Love is Jane Harms new unit. Best and most inventive rock band in
Montreal at the moment. tightly wound up songs played off the rails with frantic
synth guitar, lead bass and a drummer fighting the tempo for his life. Vocals
squawked and sung like Dave Thomas inhabitting Grace Slick's throat.
