🔊 Canicule Tropicale :
La recherche de la perle rare, c'est ce qui obsède depuis plusieurs années Philippe Noël et La Mano Peluda (Clément Jehan) créateurs et DJ de la soirée mensuelle montréalaise Canicule Tropicale. La perle rare, c'est le disque vinyle oublié qui retournera une piste de danse. Le champ d'action de ces deux "diggers" (terme utilisé pour qualifier les traqueurs de disques rares), collectionneurs et donc DJ est large : l'Afrique, l'Amérique latine, les Caraïbes, le Moyen-Orient, l'Asie... Est-il besoin de préciser que la zone ciblée est tropicale ? Ces disques venus d'ailleurs sont également d'une autre époque, entre 1950 et 1980.

Les membres du Brica Brac Soundsystem, Eric, Greg et Wamba ont construit leur sono en pleine pandémie, portés par l’envi de rassembler la communauté reggae et dub au Québec. Basé à Sutton, les membres du Brica Brac collectionnent les vinyles et rêvent de transporter les bonnes vibrations du Carnaval de Notting Hill au Québec. Le partage est leur devise et la musique leur outil.

The search for the rare gem has been the obsession of Philippe Noël and La Mano Peluda (Clément Jehan), creators and DJs of the monthly Montreal night Canicule Tropicale, for several years. The rare gem is the forgotten vinyl record that will rock a dance floor. The scope of these two "diggers" (a term used for rare record hunters), collectors, and therefore DJs, is broad: Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Asia... Is it necessary to specify that the targeted zone is tropical? These records from elsewhere are also from another era, between 1950 and 1980.
