Vision
Montreal is so small. And yet so big. Talent abounds. But microcosms dominate. It just takes one degree of separation to find yourself working in a silo. Around these parts, amazing honorable music makers can literally spend over a decade honing their craft, offering their material, throwing parties, trying to reach out, blow up, without ever crossing paths with their heaven-sent music making soul-mate-counterparts. It’s like there’s these invisible walls around all of us, pulling most of our ever so well intended efforts right back down to the underground. And although the subterranean realm is a great place to wean your craft, we all deserve to fulfill our musical destinies way up high in the clouds. Did the gin that is Montreal get our juice too laid back? Coz my mind sure ain’t on my money. It’s on my music. So who do you know? Coz that’s where you’re going tonight. Beyond sub-genre differentiation and crew allegiances, where is our pulsing vibrating effervescent centralized MTL music headquarters? Where is the one go-to spot? How can we bring everybody together to contribute to the scene while pursuing our own individual goals without pulling the covers to our side of the bed, without pulling the wool down over each other’s eyes?

About us
But before moving forward; let’s take a step back and put things into perspective. It all started out with 3 amigos. 3 extra passionate music officiados. Scott Walker, Golgo 13 and Gabee. Their quest was to find a new means of getting the music to the people. They were looking for a new kind of window onto the musical world, one that could unite both the creators of sounds and the avid consumers of all kinds of electronic genres. And they would call it Beat Concierge. This is the exact moment where the the Onvii founders step into play. These 2 internet savvy entrepreneurs were searching for a way to put their innovative new web broadcasting technology to the test. Luckily all of these talented people did in fact cross paths. The rest is history as they say. Both teams came together to create the very first weekly web tv show hitting international air waves via a MTL independent web broadcasting studio. |
