Description: | Montréal has long been a hub for incredible dance music. In the latter days of disco, a local label called Unidisc made huge waves by taking a chance on Europe's burgeoning electronic sound, marking a rare envelope of creativity, enthusiasm and opportunity. Montréal embraced this new style fueled by local artists such as Lime, Pierre Perpall, and Trans X. These and lesser known records have gone on to influence much of what is heard today - though have seldom been improved upon.
In honour of this charmed period, we present Unidisco. Inspired by the legendary loft parties of David Mancuso, we promise an inclusive, intimate, environment crowned by an unparalleled sound system. It's a rare opportunity to dance your asses off to live and recorded martian gems of robot disco, as mined from the basements of Montréal. |
