One of the most exciting and unique figures to appear on the london dubstep scene is 25 year old Reso, a producer and DJ whose sound is at once dark, rich, lush and incredibly danceable. Tracing the void between the techy, high-octane vibe of drum and bass and bass-pumping breakbeat funk, Reso's aural identity is a densely layered soundscape of musical texture and colour setting him apart from the minimal sparseness of his fellow producers and also getting him attention from the Techno, Glitch and Breaks scenes. Reso's technically intricate productions have gathered strong support from Dubstep's key players such as Benga, N-Type, Rusko and Mary Anne Hobbs, has garnered multiple inclusions on Freq Nasty’s FabricLive mix CD, and has led to work with the Buraka Som Sistema as well as engimatic producer Burial. When it comes to DJing, Reso takes the tech-funk vibe of his productions to the next level – expect grotty, high energy beats being dropped thick and fast – and after smashing dance floors all across the UK, Europe and the US with a crate of tear-out dancefloor killers.
