| Extras: | Friday the 13th of February 2009, will be the third edition of Toy Company. This unique Montreal event regroups chiptune musicians; those who use retro game consoles to make their music. Many different genres and sorts of musical aesthetics will harmonize together for a night of wild and refreshing electronic tunes.
Toy company started in 2008 with the idea of uniting Montreal chiptune artists, those whom are the most active on the local and international scene. In 2008, these artists have played in Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, New-York, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Paris and many other major cities around the world.
This edition will have the biggest line-up proposed by the group as of yet. It will take place at the Societe des arts technologiques that will be transformed into a room embodying the spirit of video games.
For the occasion, PDF Format of Toronto, who attracted a lot of attention due to his appearance on Pop Montreal 2008, was invited to make a performance that will surely allow him to conquer all. Taxi Nouveau, will present his latest electro-garage music show that surprised more than a few in Amsterdam. Noia, with his insatiable energy, will sway the crowd with his sounds that will in turn, ignite the dance floor. Aliceffekt, like always, will impose his undoubtedly efficient and energizing chipcore-industrial music. As for XC3N, he will perform his new tracks with his 8bit scratcher. VJ Pocaille will set the mood for the show, controlling the visuals. And as for the mysterious Erreur 404 , she will showcase her latest musical and visual surprises.
