Live is an innovative night with a vision of showcasing local and global artists who are committed to raising the bar and defying the norms set forth in dance music today. We feel that for the launch of this night it is important to feature an artist that is consistent with this theme and we’re very proud to welcome from the UK for his first ever Ottawa appearance.

Authentic. Different. Innovative-anything but ordinary!! This is James Holden. Once a bedroom producer, Holden broke into the global dance music scene at the tender age of 19 armed with nothing more than his home PC and a math degree from Oxford. Since then, he’s been a pioneer in the digital evolution of dance music! In just one year James jumped an incredible 40 positions in the Top 100 DJ poll to secure himself the #36 spot in 2004. He is quickly positioning himself to take the dance world by storm with 3 of his recent productions included on Sasha’s latest CD Fundacion NY, an EP of tracks on the horizon, his own buzz label ‘Border Community’ and a quickly evolving vision of the personality of music and where it might take us—James forever changes the electronic music landscape as we know it.
